Horse Camp scholarship and donations

As a nonprofit organization, Meadow Vue Ranch believes every child should have the opportunity to experience horses, ranch life, and the cowboy way of life, regardless of their family’s financial situation.

We understand that the cost of summer camp may not be within reach for every family. That’s why we created the Meadow Vue Ranch Horse Camp Scholarship Program, which provides need-based assistance to help more children experience an unforgettable week at the ranch.

Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and available scholarship funds. To be considered:

• A scholarship application must be completed and submitted.
• Applicants must never have previously attended Horse Camp at Meadow Vue Ranch.
• Scholarships are reviewed and awarded by the Meadow Vue Ranch Board of Directors.
• The number and amount of scholarships awarded each year depend on available scholarship funds.

Scholarship recipients are selected near the end of May each year. Families receiving a scholarship will be contacted directly.

Help us give more kids the opportunity to saddle up, experience ranch life, and discover the cowboy way of life

 At Meadow Vue Ranch, we believe the opportunity to learn, ride, and build a connection with a horse should be available to as many children as possible.

We understand that horseback riding lessons may not be affordable for every family. That’s why we offer a need-based Riding Lesson Scholarship Program to help children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to ride.

Each year, we award several scholarships based on financial need and available scholarship funds. Scholarship recipients have the opportunity to learn horsemanship and riding skills in a safe, encouraging, and supportive ranch environment.

If your child has dreamed of learning to ride but the cost has stood in the way, we encourage you to apply.

Sometimes all a child needs is an opportunity—and sometimes that opportunity comes on the back of a horse. 

 Scholarship applications are reviewed each year, and recipients will be notified in May.

Due to the number of applications we receive, only applicants who are selected to receive a scholarship will be contacted. If you have not received notification by the end of May, your application was not selected for that year’s scholarship program.

Each year, Meadow Vue Ranch receives dozens of scholarship applications from children who dream of attending Horse Camp. Unfortunately, the need is often greater than the scholarship funds we have available, and we are unable to help every deserving applicant.

You can help change that.

If you have the means, please consider making a donation to the Meadow Vue Ranch Horse Camp Scholarship Fund. Your support helps give more children the opportunity to ride horses, experience ranch life, build confidence, make new friends, and discover the cowboy way of life.

Every donation—large or small—helps put another child in the saddle. 

Together, we can give more kids an opportunity they may remember for the rest of their lives. 

Each year, we receive many applications from deserving children who would love the opportunity to attend Meadow Vue Ranch Horse Camp. Help us get to know you by putting some thought and personality into your application!

Tell us why you want to come to Horse Camp. Be specific! What excites you about horses, ranch life, or spending a week at Meadow Vue Ranch? Tell us what attending camp would mean to you.

Explain why you need financial assistance. Please include a statement of financial need that helps our Scholarship Committee understand why a scholarship is necessary for you to attend camp.

Make your application personal. Consider including a photo, drawing, letter, or something else that tells us a little more about who you are and why Horse Camp is important to you.

Most importantly, tell us your story and be yourself! We receive many deserving applications, so take the time to help us understand why an opportunity to attend Meadow Vue Ranch would be special to you.

Meadow Vue Ranch is a nonprofit organization, which means every dollar we earn goes back into the ranch—caring for our animals, maintaining our facilities, improving the camp, and creating the best possible experience for our campers.

Caring for a ranch and its animals is a big commitment. Feeding our horses alone costs more than $40,000 each year. Donations help us keep camp costs as affordable as possible while continuing to maintain and improve the ranch for future generations.

Our Horse Camp Scholarship Program is made possible through donations. The more support we receive, the more children we can give the opportunity to attend camp who otherwise may not be able to afford it.

• Feed and care for our horses and other animals
• Maintain and improve ranch facilities
• Keep camp costs as affordable as possible
• Provide scholarships to deserving children
• Give more kids the opportunity to experience horses and the cowboy way of life

When you donate to Meadow Vue Ranch, you can choose how you would like your contribution to be used. Whether you want to help a child attend Horse Camp, care for our horses, or improve the ranch, we’ll work with you to make your donation meaningful.

Many of our donors choose to give directly to our Horse Camp Scholarship Fund, helping children attend camp who otherwise may not have the opportunity.

Over the years, generous donors have also helped Meadow Vue Ranch:

• Purchase new horses for our riding programs
• Add donated horses to our camp herd
• Build new shower rooms for the bunkhouses
• Upgrade our ranch kitchen
• Improve and maintain our camp bunkhouses
• Support other ranch and camp improvements
